Our Intermediate Advanced programmes at ASDS Advanced Academy are designed for students who have a strong passion for musical theatre and are serious about pursuing a career in the industry or attending drama college. With classes for 9+ and 12+ years, this is the first stepping stone in your Advanced Journey, designed for students to advance into our Senior Advanced Classes and bridge any gaps in skills from the recreational class.
Designed to provide dedicated tuition and prepare you for the demands of the professional industry, full-time training, and auditions for leading musical theatre institutions, our program is your gateway to a successful career in the performing arts.
Our specialist classes and training cover all aspects of musical theatre, including singing skills, jazz dance, tap dance, acting development for both stage and screen, audition technique, and performance.
At ASDS Advanced Academy, we understand the importance of hands-on experience. That's why we provide ample opportunities for our students to showcase their talent through our ASDS Extravaganza Show, musical performances, and even international events. These experiences not only allow you to put your skills into practice but also provide valuable exposure to industry professionals.

Audition Requirements
In order to audition for the Intermediate Advanced musical theatre programme, interested individuals must meet the following requirements:
1. Experience in Musical Theatre: Applicants should have previous experience in performing in musical theatre training and productions. This can include participation in school or community theatre shows, workshops, or training programmes.
2. Audition and Skill-based: The audition will assess the applicant's abilities in singing, acting, and dancing. Prepared monologues, songs, and dance routines may be required. The audition will be evaluated to determine the applicant's suitability for the programme.
Please note that based on the audition, the programme directors will decide which specific classes within the Intermediate Advanced level are the best fit for each individual. This means that applicants may be placed in classes that align with their particular strengths and areas for improvement.
If you feel that you may need additional experience before auditioning for the Intermediate Advanced programme, it is recommended to consider enrolling for our Main School Classes at Act Sing Dance Schools. These classes will provide an opportunity to further develop your skills and gain more experience in musical theatre before pursuing the Advanced level.
